Day 01: Travel Time: Approx. 8 hours
Arriving at the airport you will be warmly welcomed by an East Africa Jungle representative.
From Kampala you will begin the journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. The ancient rainforest of Bwindi spans 321 sq. km and boasts 90 mammal species, the infamous mountain gorillas, a range of primates, as well as 23 Albertine Rift endemic bird species, including the African Green Broadbill, the Bar Tailed Trogon etc.
You will stop en route to look at the Royal Drum makers, see the Equator where you can stand in both hemispheres simultaneously. From there you continue through the terraced hillsides of Uganda arriving to Bwindi in the evening in time for dinner. Dinner and overnight at Mahogany Springs (LDBB).
Day 02: Gorilla tracking
The next morning you set off for gorilla trekking. Hiking through the thick, verdant, rainforest to eventually come across the gorillas in their natural habitat, is an amazing and unforgettable experience. Actual trek times can vary; these are wild animals after all. If time permits there are a diverse range of activities which are unique to Bwindi which you can participate in during the afternoon. Optional activities include Batwa Trail, Village Walk, Bwindi Community Hospital and Waterfall Walk all arranged on request.
All meals included and overnight at Mahogany Springs (LDBB).
Day 03: Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
The day is yours as you explore all that Bwindi has to offer! Go for an optional second gorilla trekking experience, or choose another option. There are so many things to explore, go for a birding safari in the interior of the forest. Other popular options include a visit to the Batwa Trail or experiencing local village life. We can also arrange for you to visit Bwindi Community Hospital or support our efforts at conservation by planting a tree at a local school. Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner.

Day 04: Bwindi - Kampala
Depart Bwindi early in the morning to catch your return flight home in either Entebbe or Kigali.

Please note the gorilla tracking in this itinerary can be done in Rwanda as well r the southern sector of Bwindi if permits/accommodation can’t be got in Buhoma at the time of your booking.
Gorilla tracking is dependent on the permits availability at the time of your booking. Gorilla permits in all parks are on a very high demand and we advise that you book them as early as possible.
