Day 1:Arrival
Our representative will meet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at 2Friends Hotel Entebbe or similar – BB
Day 2:Tour of Source of the Nile Jinja
Our guide picks you from your Hotel ready for a drive to the Eastern part of Uganda. On your way to Jinja you will visit Ssezibwa falls, nature walk at Mabira forest, and source of the River Nile. A tour to the Nile will take you through another life of adventure. There is a golf course unwinding along the banks and the source of the Nile provides a pretty focal point to the flow of water from Lake Victoria’s only outlet. A boat-ride at source offers an occasion to ride a little bit inside to where the waters of The Nile vividly separate from the waters of L. Victoria before it embarks on its long journey to the Mediterranean Sea. Dinner and Overnight at 2 Friends Hotel or similar – BLD
Day 3:Entebbe – Kibale Forest National Park (6Hrs)
After a relaxed breakfast we will depart Entebbe and head west to Fort Portal, with lunch en route. Fort Portal rests in the shadow of the fabled “Mountains of the Moon” and is famous for the many tea plantations. From this lovely town we will continue to Kibale National Park. Dinner and overnight at the deluxe safari tents of Primate Lodge Kibale or similar - BLD
Day 4:Kibale Forest & Bigodi Swamp
Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white Colobus monkey and many others.
After a hearty lunch we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another, totally different nature walks. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is an initiative of the local community and is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Day 5:Kibale Forest – Queen Elizabeth national park (3Hrs)
After a delicious breakfast we transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park while passing the region of the Crater Lakes. Have lunch and relax at the pool before going on a game drive in search of the first wildlife, including warthogs, buffaloes, waterbucks and elephants. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge or similar - BLD
Day 6:Queen Elizabeth National Park
The day begins early as we start with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs.
We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a luxury boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Thanks to the abundant birdlife that is sighted, and the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos that are cooling off at the shores, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Day 7:Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi National Park (4-5Hrs)
After breakfast we head towards the south, passing the southern sector of the national park. This part is called Ishasha and is famous for the tree-climbing lions. After a short game drive in this area we continue to Bwindi. While driving through a verdant countryside, you will pass traditional homesteads and enjoy panoramic views. Arrive in Bwindi National Park, home of the endangered mountain gorillas in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge or similar - BLD
Day 8:Gorilla Trekking
The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! Dinner and overnight at Chameleon Hill Lodge or similar - BLD
Day 9:Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi (3Hrs)
The word “Bunyonyi”, in the local language means, ‘the place of very many little birds’. Lake Bunyonyi is the second deepest Lake in Africa.
On arrival you will check in your hotel and take a scenic drive of Lake Bunyonyi to have a spectacular sightseeing experience that Lake Bunyonyi offers on a traditional boat around the Islands of the lake, ride to the, punishment island, Pigmies Island where you will be able to see their traditional way of life and cultures among other islands. Birders will treat themselves with well over 300 bird species recorded. After this days’ gorgeous adventure you will return to your lodge for a relaxed cool evening, Dinner and overnight at Bird Nest Resort or similar - BLD
Day 10:Lake Bunyonyi -Lake Mburo National Park (4Hrs)
After breakfast we depart the Lake Bunyonyi and head to Lake Mburo National Park.
As we enter the park it is likely that you will spot some wildlife. After checking in you will go on a boat ride on the lake to view the rich bird life and many hippos that are cooling off.
Have an early dinner before going on a night game drive in an open Land Cruiser with spotlight. This special game drive of 2-3 hours provides 30% chances of seeing the elusive leopard and of course other nocturnal animals. Overnight at Mihingo Lodge or similar - BLD
Day 11:Lake Mburo National Park
Early breakfast and go for a safari walk guided by a ranger. Lake Mburo is the only national park where you can experience a safari on foot. Returns to your lodge for Lunch and in the evening go for a horse back safaris for 4 hours. Return to the Lodge for Dinner and Overnight at Mihingo Lodge or similar - BLD
Day 12:Lake Mburo-Kampala- Departure
Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to Lake Mburo. Depending on your flight schedule you can join our guide on a city tour and visit some interesting and historical sites. In time you will be transferred to Entebbe Airport for your international flight – B
