Yes. This itinerary is operated as a private safari, meaning the safari vehicle and professional guide are dedicated to your travelling party rather than shared with unrelated travellers. This provides greater flexibility for game drives, wildlife stops and daily departure times.

4. What type of safari vehicle is used?

The safari is operated in a private 4×4 safari Land Cruiser with a pop-up roof designed for wildlife viewing and photography. The vehicle is used for the overland transfers and game drives throughout Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro.

5. Can I see the Big Five on this safari?

There are opportunities to see the lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and black rhino across the three wildlife areas. Ngorongoro Crater is particularly known for concentrated wildlife viewing and offers a chance of seeing the endangered black rhino. However, all animals are wild, so sightings of individual species or the complete Big Five cannot be guaranteed.

6. How much time will I spend in Serengeti National Park?

You enter the Serengeti on Day 2, combining the journey with game viewing before reaching your accommodation. Day 3 begins with further Serengeti game viewing before travelling towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Travellers who want substantially more time in the Serengeti should consider extending the itinerary to five or six days.

7. What is the best time for this 4-day Tanzania safari?

The safari can be enjoyed year-round. June to October generally offers dry conditions and excellent wildlife viewing, while November to May brings greener landscapes and different seasonal wildlife experiences. If the Great Migration or wildebeest calving season is your main priority, the itinerary should be adjusted according to the expected location of the herds.

8. Where will I stay during the safari?

Accommodation can be arranged in budget, mid-range or luxury lodges and tented camps around Tarangire/Karatu, inside or near the Serengeti, and around Ngorongoro/Karatu. The exact properties depend on your selected accommodation category, travel dates and availability and will be confirmed in your final quotation.

9. Can this safari start from Kilimanjaro International Airport?

Yes. Airport pickup from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) can be arranged. Depending on your flight arrival time, we may recommend spending the previous night in Arusha before beginning the safari the following morning. This avoids rushing the first day's journey to Tarangire.

10. Can I combine this safari with Zanzibar?
