1. Booking Confirmation

All safari bookings are subject to availability and written confirmation by East Africa Jungle.

A booking is confirmed when the required deposit has been received, the relevant services have been secured, and a written booking confirmation has been issued.

Travellers should carefully review their itinerary, travel dates, accommodation, transport arrangements, inclusions, exclusions and payment schedule before making payment.

2. Prices and Payment Conditions

Unless otherwise stated in the confirmed quotation, the standard payment schedule is:

• 30% deposit to secure the booking.

• Additional 30% payable 21 days before departure.

• Remaining 40% payable before safari commencement, according to the confirmed invoice.

• Bookings made within 21 days of departure may require a 40% initial deposit and an accelerated balance-payment schedule.

Prices are quoted in US dollars unless otherwise stated.

Card payments are subject to a 3.8% processing surcharge where permitted by applicable law and disclosed before payment.

Certain flights, lodges, permits and peak-season arrangements may require higher deposits or earlier final payment. Any such conditions will be communicated before booking confirmation.

3. Cancellation by the Traveller

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to sales@eastafricajungle.com.

Under the proposed standard cancellation schedule:

Any applicable non-refundable supplier commitments will be disclosed before payment and accounted for without duplicate deductions.

Different cancellation conditions may apply to scheduled flights, gorilla permits, Kilimanjaro reservations, peak-season accommodation and special promotional packages. These will be stated in the booking confirmation.

Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.

4. Booking Amendments and Date Changes

Travellers may request changes to travel dates, accommodation, destinations, group size or itinerary arrangements.

Changes are subject to availability and may involve additional costs, including airline change fees, accommodation rate differences, park fee changes and supplier charges.

East Africa Jungle will communicate the revised cost and conditions before confirming the amendment.

5. Cancellation or Changes by East Africa Jungle

East Africa Jungle may need to modify travel arrangements due to safety concerns, government restrictions, park closures, weather, transport disruptions or other circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

Where a material change or cancellation is necessary, we will explain the situation promptly and offer available alternatives, such as a revised itinerary, rescheduling or an applicable refund.

Refund entitlements will depend on the circumstances, the booking agreement and applicable law.

6. Accommodation and Safari Transport

Accommodation is provided at the confirmed properties or suitable alternatives where changes become necessary.

Private safari packages include private game-drive vehicles when specified in the quotation. Shared group safaris operate with other travellers and follow scheduled departure arrangements.

Domestic and regional flights may operate on shared aircraft and are subject to airline schedules, baggage restrictions and operational conditions.

7. Travel Documents and Entry Requirements

Travellers are responsible for obtaining valid passports, visas, electronic travel authorisations and any required travel documentation.

Entry requirements vary according to nationality, destination and travel history.

Parents or guardians travelling with children must ensure that all required documents and permissions are available.

East Africa Jungle can provide general guidance but cannot guarantee immigration approval.

8. Health, Safety and Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended, including emergency medical treatment, evacuation, cancellation, trip interruption and baggage protection.

Travellers undertaking Kilimanjaro climbs, gorilla trekking or other specialist activities must obtain insurance covering the relevant activity and altitude.

Guests must disclose relevant accessibility requirements and practical assistance needs before booking so suitable arrangements can be assessed.

All travellers must follow the safety instructions of guides, accommodation staff, park authorities and transport providers.

9. Wildlife Viewing and Outdoor Activities

Wildlife sightings, Great Migration movements, river crossings and sightings of specific animals cannot be guaranteed.

Safari activities are subject to wildlife behaviour, weather, park regulations and operational conditions.

Optional activities such as balloon safaris, cultural excursions and water sports may be subject to separate supplier conditions.

10. Children and Family Travel

Children must be supervised by their parents or responsible guardians throughout the safari.

Child prices depend on age, accommodation occupancy, transport arrangements and supplier policies.

Families should provide accurate children's ages at the time of booking.

Age restrictions may apply to flights, accommodation, gorilla trekking, balloon safaris and other activities.

11. Travel Delays and Unforeseen Events

Flights, border crossings and road transfers may be affected by adverse weather, airline changes, traffic, government restrictions or other unforeseen circumstances.

East Africa Jungle will provide reasonable assistance in arranging suitable alternatives where possible.

Additional expenses and refund responsibilities will be assessed according to the cause of disruption, confirmed booking arrangements, applicable supplier terms and legal obligations.

12. Complaints and Customer Support

Travellers should report concerns promptly to their safari guide or East Africa Jungle representative so that reasonable corrective action can be considered during the trip.

Unresolved complaints may be submitted in writing to sales@eastafricajungle.com, ideally within 14 days after the safari ends.

We aim to acknowledge written complaints within three business days and provide a substantive response as soon as reasonably practicable.

This reporting procedure does not remove any statutory rights.

13. Privacy and Personal Information

Personal information collected for reservations will be used to organise and deliver travel services, communicate with travellers and meet applicable legal obligations.

Necessary booking details may be shared with hotels, airlines, park authorities and other travel suppliers.

Personal data will be handled in accordance with the applicable privacy policy and data protection laws.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

The applicable contracting entity, governing law and dispute-resolution arrangements will be identified in the final booking agreement.

These terms do not exclude mandatory consumer protections or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
