1. Don't Ask Your Guide to Get Too Close to Wildlife

Never pressure your guide to approach an animal simply for a better photograph.

Maintain an appropriate distance and allow wildlife to behave naturally. Lewa's visitor code specifically requires vehicles to keep sensible distances and limits crowding around sightings.

2. Don't Make Excessive Noise at Sightings

Keep voices low, particularly around predators, rhinos and animals with young.

Sudden noises, shouting or repeatedly changing position inside the vehicle can disturb wildlife and reduce the quality of the encounter.

3. Don't Feed or Attract Wildlife

Never feed wild animals or attempt to attract them toward your vehicle or accommodation.

Food can alter natural behaviour and create potentially dangerous interactions between animals and people.

4. Don't Pressure Your Guide to Chase Every Reported Sighting

A radio report of a lion or leopard on the other side of the conservancy does not necessarily mean racing there will produce the best experience.
